Progress Is… Slow

I haven’t been on in a few days because I’ve been slammed at work, but really, not much has happened around here.

Everything has arrived except the vanities (which are scheduled to deliver today). The most exciting delivery came yesterday – the bathtub! It is beautiful and I can’t wait to have it installed. Speaking of which – the plumber just finished moving the drain and the water lines. Once the tile is installed he can come back and install the tub and tub filler. Woo hoo!!!!

The shower progress has been slow. It is tiled except for the black band in the center, the seat top and the shower pan. That should be finished tomorrow. My installer is very meticulous and has done a wonderful job (which says a lot as OCD as I am about lines). I’m really excited to see the final product.

As far as the floors… They are supposed to start on the floors tomorrow. Seeing that it has taken 4 days to do the shower, and tomorrow is Friday, I’m thinking the floors will be finished Tuesday (fingers crossed). You know what that means? I’ve got a lot of painting to do tonight. Yep… haven’t painted yet. I’m not sure why I haven’t, but I just haven’t. Well, part of the reason is because the paint I wanted is at Restoration Hardware (which is about a 30 minute drive). Because I have to stay home and wait for my vanities, I can’t head to RH. Instead, I went down to Ace and picked up some Benjamin Moore paint that I liked. I also grabbed a can of primer. In the meantime I’m going to sit and wait for my vanities – and finally get the painting done. Tomorrow should be a fun day!
